Services

Every visit starts with listening. Here is what each kind of visit is, who it is for and what it is not.

  • A grey armchair with a knit throw beside a leather sofa, a lamp and a plant in front of dark curtains

    Psychiatric evaluation

For adults who want a full psychiatric assessment, or who are new to the practice. About an hour: your history, your health, your sleep and what you hope will change.

    • Who it helps: adults 18 and over

    • A visit: one longer conversation, in the office or by video

    • What it is not: a prescription promised in advance

    • How it is paid: see How fees work

  • A dark curtain drawn back from a window with white panes

    Medication management

For adults who take, or are thinking about taking, a psychiatric medication. Shorter visits to see how it is going, adjust the dose if needed and answer questions.

    • Who it helps: adults after an evaluation

    • A visit: short, by video or in the office

    • Pace: your clinician sets it, and no number of visits is promised

    • How it is paid: see How fees work

  • A computer desk lit by a black lamp with a potted plant and a cup of tea

    Starting a medication

Before a first prescription we talk through what it is for, how it may help, the common side effects and what to do if something worries you.

    • Who it helps: adults weighing a new medicine

    • A visit: part of an evaluation or a follow-up

    • What it is not: a prescription on request

    • How it is paid: see How fees work

  • A small potted plant on a windowsill between white curtains

    Changing or stopping a medication

Dose changes are planned together, one step at a time, at a pace we both agree on.

    • Who it helps: adults who want to adjust a plan

    • A visit: a follow-up, by video or in the office

    • Please don't stop a prescribed medicine on your own; call first

    • How it is paid: see How fees work

  • A brown leather sofa with a rust cushion, a white knit cushion and a sheepskin throw

    Video visits across Oregon

For adults anywhere in Oregon who find it hard to reach a psychiatric prescriber. You need a private place and a phone or computer with a camera.

    • Licensed in Oregon; be in Oregon during the visit

    • A visit: the same as in the office

    • What it is not: emergency care; call 988 or 911

    • How it is paid: see How fees work

  • A corduroy sofa in warm lamplight beside a side table and a bookshelf

    Working with your care team

With your written permission, I share notes and plans with your therapist or primary care clinician so everyone works from the same plan.

    • Who it helps: adults seeing more than one clinician

    • A visit: part of any visit

    • What it is not: sharing without your permission

    • How it is paid: see How fees work
