About Arianna Perez

I'm a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in Portland, Oregon. I see adults for psychiatric evaluations and for ongoing medication management, in my office or by video from anywhere in Oregon. My practice is small on purpose, so each visit has room for you. I believe medication works well as one part of a plan you understand and have a say in.

I will always explain what I am recommending and why, what the alternatives are, and what the risks are. If you decide a medication is not for you, I respect that.

I work alongside therapists and primary care clinicians, with your written permission, so your care fits together.

What guides my work

  • Listening first

I ask before I suggest, and I listen to the answer.

  • Plain language

No jargon. If a word is unclear, ask me and I will say it another way.

  • Informed choice

You hear the benefits, the risks and the alternatives before you decide.

  • Care that connects

Your therapist and your primary care clinician are part of the picture, if you want them to be.

How care unfolds

Care follows a steady rhythm: an evaluation first, then follow-up visits.

  • 01

    Evaluation

We start with an hour to go over your history, your health and what you hope will change.

  • 02

    A shared plan

We decide together whether medication belongs in the plan, and what else might help, such as therapy.

  • 03

    Follow-up

Shorter visits to check in, answer questions and adjust the plan if it needs adjusting.

  • 04

    Review

From time to time we step back and look at the whole plan, including whether you still need each medication.
